Description:
Foam Tape PE is a quality, yet economical, polyethylene foam insulation tape that prevents condensation and sweating on refrigeration and air conditioning lines. It also can be used to prevent heat loss on steam and hot water lines.
Foam Tape PE uses closed cell construction to provide effective insulation performance, and its adhesive incorporates a built-in “skrim” for strength. It can be overlapped or the edges can be butted as it’s wrapped on piping. The amount of tape required depends on factors like relative humidity, ambient temperature, and the temperature of the pipe to be covered. Service temperatures range from -20°F to a high continuous temperature of 160°F.

Directions:
This product must be used in accordance to the following directions by HVACR professionals only.
Apply Foam Tape PE by removing release paper as the tape is spirally wrapped around the piping or fittings. Press firmly in place. Avoid stretching. Pressure-sensitive adhesive adheres firmly and forms a long-lasting bond with metal surfaces.
For a faster and more efficient job, tape should be spiral-wrapped to obtain a 50% overlap. Additional layers build up insulation to required thickness.
To insulate valves, tees, and other fittings, cut small pieces of tape and press into place until all metal is covered. Overwrap with longer lengths for a durable and efficient job
